12/23/20 - This is a near-mint Ithaca 1911A1 from either late 1943, or early '44. The pistol shows hardly any wear to the finish and has a minty bore, but the right side of the frame (below the serial) does appear to have been lightly buffed and touched up. Best guess is that a small patch of pitting developed there and a previous owner wanted it removed. Otherwise, it's a beautiful example. The barrel is an original Flannery but was refinished with phosphate finish at some point. Magazine marked with an 'S' on the toe. Grips are in excellent condition.
